Director Zack Snyder faced harsh criticism for his Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and its prequel Man of Steel. Film critics ripped apart the film's dialogue, plot, and characters, even calling out the number of explosions that happen during fight scenes. But actor Michael Shannon, who played the villain Zod in 2013's Man of Steel, spoke out in support of Snyder on Thursday.
