Elle magazine released an issue that featured an interview with Beyonce on Tuesday. When the magazine asked Beyonce about her controversial February music video release "Formation," Beyonce expressed frustration with the "anti-police" accusations the film created. The video heavily featured footage of the Black Lives Matter movement, and showed a moment where police had their hands up in the air as if under arrest. But Beyonce told Elle that she has a lot of respect for police officers who risk their lives every day to protect the public. But she she said that she was against police violence and injustice, and emphasized that those issues were two separate things.
