In Batman V Superman:Dawn of Justice Lex Luthor's plan to have Superman and Batman fight each other backfired.Then, he created a giant monster that almost destroyed two cities. Jesse Eisenberg who played Lex Luther explained the behaviors of the character. He explained the Lex is the type of villain that becomes unhinged easily but always has a back up plan. He continued saying that the character knows he always has the upper hand and a final act.
