The first recipient of the brand new Taylor Swift Award from the BMI Pop Awards will be... Taylor Swift. Yup, the 1989 singer will be honored with an award named after her at the 64th annual ceremony on May 10. According to a press release, "The award is in "recognition of her incomparable creative and artistic talent and influence on music lovers throughout the world." Swift is the second artist in BMI's history to have an award named after her, following Michael Jackson in 1990.
