Director Ang Lee is set for a big honor! BAFTA LA will present the director of the upcoming 'Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk' with its John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence. The Britannia Awards recognize British and international talent, with proceeds from the gala supporting BAFTA LA?s ongoing education, scholarship, community outreach and archival projects. Kieran Breen, BAFTA Los Angeles chairman commented, ? Ang Lee is truly one of the great visionary directors of our time, with a remarkable international career that continually demonstrates bold choices and provocative perspectives." The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles has scheduled its 2016 British Academy Britannia Awards for Oct. 28 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
