Drummer, Lars Ulrich of Metallica is stoked to be helping out with the induction speech for metal pioneer, Deep Purple as they make their entrance into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame later this week. Ulrich has been beating the drum for Deep Purple to be recognized by the hall for years, and now he will get his wish. Ulrich stated, "It's been no secret that I have been fairly vocal about my appreciation for Deep Purple ... they have probably been the primary musical backbone in my body ever since I first heard them when I was 9 years old." Also joining in the fun will be inductees, Chicago, Steve Miller, and Rockford, Illinois' finest, Cheap Trick who recorded the hit songs, "I Want You To Want Me", and "The Flame".
