Director Zack Snyder?s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has now grossed nearly $700 million worldwide in less than two weeks of release. However, the movie is saddled with lukewarm word of mouth and significant second weekend box office drop-off. This has prompted much speculation about how, if at all, Warner Bros. Picture is going to adjust its future plans for the DC Extended Universe. One likely outcome is Warners and DC electing to fast-track development on a solo movie featuring Ben Affleck?s Batman and a solo film with Gal Gadot?s Wonder Woman. There has been buzz that Ben Affleck will direct his own Batman solo film. Snyder has said that he's trying to convince Affleck to helm the stand alone Batman movie. Snyder mentioned that Affleck is a one film at a time kind of guy, but after his project commitments "I think he?s going to try and develop the story. Then we?ll see if he likes it.?
