VIDEO : Tyler Perry to Produce New TLC Show

Entertainment mogul Tyler Perry is reportedly producing a drama on the channel TLC about a woman involved in a political sex scandal. Perry's new show will be first scripted series that will air on the TLC network. The channel said Wednesday that the eight-episode series, titled "Too Close to Home," will air this summer. Perry is also credited with creating other successful shows on OWN, including "Love Thy Neighbor" and "For Better or Worse," which helped turn around the Oprah Winfrey network. Now TLC, which is currently having a rough go in the ratings department as well, is banking on Perry to work the same magic.
