Three-time Academy Award-winner Oliver Stone has been named recipient of the top award at this year's Nantucket Film Festival.
He is scheduled to receive the Screenwriters Tribute Award during the festival in late June.
Comedian and talk show host Seth Meyers is scheduled to host the awards ceremony.
Stone won a best writing Oscar in 1979 for "Midnight Express."
He later won two more for best director in 1987 for "Platoon" and in 1990 for "Born on the Fourth of July.
