Actress Michelle Monaghan has joined the cast of 'Patriot?s Day' CBS Films and Lionsgate?s Boston Marathon bombing thriller which stars Mark Wahlberg. Peter Berg is set to direct the picture, which focuses on the events surrounding the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. In the movie, Wahlberg will portray a composite Boston Police Department officer who is central to the investigation and manhunt. Monaghan will reportedly play his wife, who is also a composite character. The 'True Detective' actress who last appeared in the Adam Sandler movie 'Pixels' is represented by ICM Partners, Circle of Confusion and Sloane Offer.
