David Oyelowo and Gugu Mbatha-Raw are in negotiations to star in God Particle from producer J.J. Abrams. The high-concept sci-fi film will follow a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery, which forces them to fight for their lives as they question the very fabric of reality. The Golden Globe-nominated Oyelowo is known for his portrayal of Martin Luther King Jr. in Ava Duvernay's Selma. Mbatha-Raw starred as an overworked pop star in Beyond the Lights and appeared opposite Will Smith in the NFL drama Concussion.
