Gilmore Girl fans are crushed to find out that Melissa McCarthy will not be returning to the show to reprise her role as Sookie St. James. McCarthy tells E! Entertainment that she was not asked to return. No hard feelings though, she thinks it was just a misunderstanding and says about the show's reboot, "I;m actually thrilled that it's happening." Even though fans will miss McCarthy on the show, they can catch her doing other exciting things like her role in the new Ghostbusters movie!
