Michelle Obama released a song called ?This is for My Girls.? The song features, Missy Elliot, Lea Michele, Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monae, Zendaya, and other female artist. The First Lady describes the song as being ?kind of like We Are the World meet Lady Marmalade.? The song coincides with her #62MillionGirls global education initiative. She wants the song to empower women. Obama states, ?I?ve met girls who make long, dangerous journeys each day to school and then come home and study for hours each night? I see myself in these girls - in their ambition and their determination to rise above their circumstances.?
