Filmmaker ANG LEE has added his name to a petition objecting to the ?tasteless? jokes made about Asians at the Academy Awards. The Oscar winner is one of 25 members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, of Asian descent, whose names feature on a letter sent to organization officials, protesting a skit host Chris Rock introduced, during which three Asian children appeared onstage as Academy accountants. The letter was delivered to the Academy Board of Governors, president Cheryl Boone Isaacs, CEO Dawn Hudson, and Oscar producers Reginald Hudlin and David Hill. The letter calls for calls for ?concrete steps? to ?preclude such unconscious or outright bias and racism toward any group in future Oscars telecasts.?
