VIDEO : Ang Lee, Sandra Oh, George Takei Protest Asian Jokes at Oscars

Certain Asian members of The Academy are not happy with a couple of jokes made by Chris Rock and Sacha Baron Cohen at the Oscars, and for good reason. According to the Hollywood Reporter Ang Lee, Sandra Oh and George Takei are just three of 25 members who signed a petition protesting two skits from the awards show.
The first was a cheap joke by Chris Rock perpetuating the stereotype of Asians being good at math by introducing three Asian children as the accountants who tally Oscar votes.
The second was from Sacha Baron Cohen, as his popular Ali G character, who compared Asians to Minions for being "hard-working little yellow people with tiny dongs."
The open letter referred to the jokes as "tasteless" "offensive" and "tone-deaf".
