A London-based actress, going by the moniker Miss L, has been tweeting sexist casting calls to point out the rampant misogyny in the entertainment industry. She has kept her identity unknown to avoid being singled out and ostracized from the industry.
Though the casting calls she frequently receives give her plenty of fodder for her posts, the most exemplary is a call for actresses to perform in a music video as floating pair of breasts without a face or a body.
It's a necessary, if somewhat comical indictment of industry standards of what a women should be. And with A-list women opening up the conversation about gender inequality it comes as a push in the right direction.
