Theme parks are competing to create the most extravagant and epic rides for this summer. The latest trends in ride technology are rides involving the ?multi-launch? or ?airtime? and ?virtual reality.? This year, a new Harry Potter Theme Park is coming to California in April and will be debuting the ride ?Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.? The ride is essentially a robocoaster. It is a motion based dark ride combine with 3-D images, so it feels like the rider is really in the wizarding world. Another is called ?The Monster? in Adventureland in Altoona, Iowa. ?The Monster? is an infinity coaster. It flips riders 5 times, can go up to 65 mph, and it let?s riders have 10 moments of negative gravity.
