Jake Gyllenhaal will co-star with Ryan Reynolds in Life. The Southpaw actor has joined the cast of the science-fiction movie which tells the story of the crew of the International Space Station who discover a life form on Mars which turns out to be more intelligent than expected and also extremely dangerous. yan was originally tipped to star in the movie, which has been written by Deadpool scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese but a scheduling clash with the action thriller Hitman's Bodyguard has forced him to take on a smaller supporting role instead.
This has led to Jake being cast in the leading part.
