Netflix is in negotiations to secure the production and distribution rights to "Bright," starring Will Smith and Joel Edgerton. Currently Netflix is one of several companies interested in the project, with Variety reporting that the streaming giant is now edging Sony and Warner Bros in what is becoming a bidding war. Should the deal go through, Netflix would agree to both fund and distribute the film, with the joint business venture estimated to be worth in the neighborhood of $30m.
