American rapper Mos Def appeared in a Capetown Magistrate?s Court on Tuesday on charges of presenting a "world passport" as he was leavving the country. The 42 year old hip hop artist whose real name is Dante Terrel Smith attempted to use a "World Government of World Citizens" passport," which is not recognized, according to a cape town home affairs director general. Listed on the court roll under one of his other names, Yassin Bey, he was was turned away during the hearing because he refused to remove the turban he was wearing.
