J.K. Simmons has joined the cast of the Justice League as James Gordon, police commissioner of Gotham City. The Oscar-winner previously portrayed J. Jonah Jameson in three Spiderman films. Justice League: Part One is expected to start shooting in April, with the release set for Nov. 17, 2017. It's unclear how large Simmons' role will be in Justice League, though joining DC's fledgling cinematic universe means he's likely locked in for more than just the one movie.
