In 1972, the late director Sydney Pollack filmed a concert that showcased Aretha Franklin and now that rare footage is set to be released in a documentary called, "The Amazing Grace". Franklin filed an emergency injunction in September and a judge halted the film's planned release at the Telluride film festival. Franklin needed to make this move to protect her intellectual property rights until a deal can be made with the film's producers to lock down her consent. Insiders think it will be just a matter of time before a deal will be struck and this documentary will eventually be released.
