VIDEO : Joseph Gordon-Levitt Drops The Sandman Movie

Fans of Joseph Gordon-Levitt got their hopes up as the actor had announced plans to direct and star in a Sandman film. However, those dreams are dashed as Gordon-Levitt announced on Facebook that he has left the film. The cause for leaving was strictly because of a shift in studios. He expressed that he enjoyed working with executive producer David Goyer, writer Jack Thorne, and even the comic's writer Neil Gaiman. The studio shift happened when Warner Bros. moved the project to New Line Cinema. Joseph Gordon-Levitt explained in his post writing, "I came to realize that the folks at New Line and I just don?t see eye-to-eye on what makes Sandman special, and what a film adaptation could/should be."
