Actress Zoe Saldana (Avitar) has been taking heavy backlash from critics for her portrayal of Nina Simone in the upcoming biopic based on the jazz legend. Recently the singers daughter Lisa Simone Kelly told Time Magazine "It's Unfortunate, that Zoe Saldana is being attacked so viciously when she is someone who is part of a larger picture". she went on to say "it is clear she brought her best to this project".
