There is plenty of controversy surrounding the Nina Simone biopic starring Zoe Saldana. Many Simone fans felt that the light-skinned actress was not appropriate to play the role of their favorite singer. In response, the production team for "Nina" revealed that Saldana's skin would be darkened for her role. However, Zoe recently tweeted a quote from the civil rights activist and singer she is portraying, only to have Nina Simone's estate respond back.
