VIDEO : Ebony Celebrates Diversity in Film

Ebony Magazine hosted an event on Saturday night to celebrate black filmmaking. "Blackish" star Anthony Anderson and "Birth of a Nation" filmmaker, writer and actor Nate Parker had strong words to encourage a diverse entertainment industry on the eve of an Oscars that have been mocked for their lack of diversity. They called for diverse actors, directors and writers to continue creating their own work despite a lack of recognition from mainstream Hollywood. The Itunes-sponsored event featured a fantastic R&B dance party and honored films such as "Dope," "Concussion," and "Creed."
