VIDEO : Marvel Comics Wins Diversity Award With Modern Ms. Marvel Series

Marvel's popular new Ms Marvel series just won the Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity/'> Diversity in Comics last week at the Long Beach Comic Expo. The comic from co-creator Sana Amanat focuses on it's latest incarnation of Ms Marvel, a young Pakistani-American with super-powers and a super fun snarky disposition. The comic series has been lauded for delving into the challenges Ms. Marvel faces by trying to acclimate to a society that has difficulty accepting people with different cultures and backgrounds. If this success keeps up for the comic, perhaps fans can expect Ms. Marvel to step into the magical world known as MCU or the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
