Los Angeles - Christian Slater is being sued for $20 million - by his own father. The Heathers star is the subject of a defamation action by Thomas Knight Slater - who goes by the stage name Michael Hawkins - in which the 80-year-old actor has accused his famous offspring of destroying his acting career after making public claims that he suffers from manic-depressive schizophrenia. Speaking to director Lars Von Trier for Interview magazine, Christian discussed his estrangement from his father and said the elder actor had "always had trouble" working with other people.
