Kelly Clarkson had an emotional return to American Idol. The show is currently in the middle of its fifteenth and final season. Clarkson the original winner of American Idol joined to perform her ballad "Piece by Piece" off her latest album. She was ordered to go on vocal rest, per doctors' orders, and revealed prior to the cancellation that she had been dealing with vocal problems following the 2014 birth of her daughter.
