VIDEO : UCLA Study: Diversely Cast Films Do Best At The Box Office

UCLA's Bunche Center has come out with a study for the last few years that reveals that movies do better at the box office if two or three of the top eight billed actors are non-white. This year's study took data from 2014, and the number increased to four non-white actors. This comes at a time when the Oscars are being criticized for the lack of diversity in its nominees. The study shows that the Academy is clearly out of touch with moviegoers. In the study, films that only had white actors in the top eight did worse off, as did films with a main cast that was only half non-white.
