Woody Allen's latest film was purchased for $15 million, three times what SONY paid to purchase his last work, and this staggering price was paid before the film was even made. The film is set to star Steve Carrel, Blake Lively, Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart. Amazon Studios has spent most of the first six years of its life making critically acclaimed series such as Transparent and the latest series Man in the High Castle, based on a Philip K Dick novel. But over the past six weeks, Amazon has been buying up new works around the country. So even though Allen has made six films with SONY in the last few years, he was intrigued and decided to take young Amazon Studios up on their generous offer for his latest film.
