Fans sometimes go to great lenghts to get a piece of the people they admire. This weekend in Dallas a UK-based memorabilia collector Paul Fraser purchased a lock of John Lennon's hair for $35,000. The lock of hair dates back to the 1960s when Lennon was preparing for the movie 'How I Won The War'. According to the Associated Press, a German hairdresser kept the lock after giving Lennon a haircut in preparation for the film. According to an official at Heritage Auctions in Dallas, this four inch lock is the largest piece of Lennon's hair ever sold at auction.
