Actress Emily Blunt is in talks to play Mary Poppins in Disney?s sequel to its 1964 classic. Director Rob Marshall is helming the new movie which will be set around 20 years after the tale of the classic 1964 movie that starred Julie Andrews and Dick van Dyke. Blunt?s name reportedly surfaced almost immediately as a top contender for the role when news of the project broke last September but it's only now that talks are underway. Blunt next stars with Chris Hemsworth in The Huntsman: The Winter's War which will open in theatres on April 22.
