At 45, Kid Rock remains as outspoken as ever. He told Rolling Stone that Donald Trump's campaign has been very entertaining and talked about his Detroit heritage. Kid Rock recently became a grandfather, at the age of 43. He says having grandkids boosts his redneck street cred and whatever hip-hop street cred he has left. He added that knowing that his son graduated college with a job is a source of relief. Kid Rock said having a beautiful granddaughter on top of that is pretty crazy. His friends have told him how lucky he is to be young enough to see his granddaughter grow up to be married. Kid Rock said that's one disadvantage of having kids later in life, which seems to be the trend now for most responsible adults.
