Lady Gaga has said before that David Bowie's music and career shaped the way she developed as an artist. So it was fitting and incredibly challenging for Lady Gaga to give a tribute performance to the late David Bowie at the 2016 Grammy Awards. Gaga performed a very comprehensive musical tribute to the rock legend, she started out by channeling Ziggy Stardust singing a mix of the hits "Space Oddity," ''Let's Dance," ''Changes" and "Heroes." A few days before the performance, Lady Gaga described her moving tribute performance as a "bittersweet way" to say goodbye to one of her musical inspirations.
