Meghan Trainor won Best New Artist the at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, with last year's winner Sam Smith presenting her with the award. The "Dear Future Husband" was in tears from the moment she got to the microphone, crying throughout her emotional acceptance speech. Trainor said, "I have to thank L.A. Reid for looking at me like an artist instead of just a songwriter," She then went on to thank her parents, adding, "And my mom and dad, for always believing in me." Before leaving the stage, Trainor said, "I'm a mess, I have to cry!"
