Kanye West's new album Life of Pablo makes up for the rapper's insensitive tweets about Amber Rose and her child. Kanye West's Yeazy Season 3 show at Madison Square Garden had a blend of spiritual music that put all those bad thoughts behind. Pablo is a journey of mourning and weakness from a wounded artist looking for meaning. West paints himself as a blowhard marketing genius and martyr. Like Yeezus, the album has 10 songs and clocks in at around 40 minutes, but has a more mellow mood. West says that it's a "gospel" album, and the opening track, "Ultra Light Beams" even enlists gospel crossover superstar Kirk "Stomp" Franklin. But for West, gospel basically means forgiveness and family, regret and betrayal.
