VIDEO : Meryl Streep On Diversity: ''We're All Africans, Really'

The issue of diversity in the movie industry is not confined to the U.S. and was brought up during the Berlin Film Festival Thursday. During a question and answer session, a reporter asked actress and President of the festival's jury Maryl Streep if the predominantly white and female jury could understand films from North Africa and the Middle East. Streep responded she didn't understand much about the region, but said there's a humanity that we all share because "after all we're all from Africa originally." Streep later confirmed that she supports the efforts to diversify Hollywood and the Academy.
