The Boss has a book deal. Simon & Schuster have announced that Bruce Springsteen has spent the past several years working on a memoir. The book is set to come out later this year on September 27. The title, of course, is "Born to Run." Financial terms were not disclosed, although his deal is almost certainly worth millions. According to Simon & Schuster, Springsteen will tell his story with "disarming candor" as he remembers his childhood in New Jersey, his rise to superstardom and "the personal struggles" that inspired such classics as "Born to Run" and Thunder Road." Springsteen said in a statement that he has "made one promise, to show the reader his mind."
