As time has shown, adapting popular video game titles into movies has not gone so smoothly. Super Mario Brothers, Doom, and Resident Evil have all received the cinematic treatment, and critical praise has eluded them. This poor track record may be broken with the release of the film adaptation of Assassin's Creed, which will star Michael Fassbender. Having recently wrapped on the shooting phase, Fassbender gave some choice words about its stunning action sequences: ?We?re not trying to make it too crazy violent. Although obviously there is an element of that, but what is really cool is that our action sequences are on real sets and real locations. It?s pretty incredible to see.? Assassin's Creed opens in theaters December 21st.
