The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed, Paramount has acquired Leonardo DiCaprio-starrer Conquest. John Davis will produce the film through Davis Entertainment. The project will be penned by Revenant co-writer Mark. L. Smith. This is the second film that DiCaprio and Smith will collaborate on. The pair's first teaming efforts contributed to Alejandro G. Inarritu's Revenant earning 12 Oscar nominations, including best actor and best picture. Smith's other efforts as writer include Vacancy, The Hole and Martyrs.
