Melissa McCarthy, who played Lorelai?s best friend Sookie St. James for all seven seasons of the show, Gilmore Girls is currently not signed on for the revival, and it sounds like that will not be changing any time soon, possibly due to McCarthy?s great career success. In a recent interview, series creator AmySherman-Palladino spoke about the difficulty of scheduling around her schedule saying that McCarthy was too busy to do the project.
