The search is on for actors for the 50 Shades of Grey sequels, which will shoot back-to-back later this year. But one key role has already found its star: Kim Basinger has signed to costar in Fifty Shades Darker as Elena Lincoln who is an older woman and key figure in the series. The Fifty Shades series centers around a sexually inexperienced woman and a wealth businessman who prefers sadomasochistic sex. While the first installment concluded with the pair splitting up, the relationship continues and evolves over the course of the next two volumes. Basinger?s character first appears in the plot of Fifty Shades Darker.
