On Thursday the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences announced a diverse slate of presenters and performers for its Oscars ceremony. The Academy revealed the names of 11 celebrities taking part in the show, including Kevin Hart, Benicio Del Toro, Ryan Gosling and Whoopi Goldberg. The choice of presenters has been a contentious topic, following the announcement by several Black entertainers - including Spike Lee and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith - that they would not be attending the ceremony. The Academy Awards are scheduled for February 28th.
