VIDEO : Oscar Voter Thinks Diversity Efforts Are Racist

John Van Vliet, a member of the Academy's visual effects branch wrote a piece about the #OscarsSoWhite controversy and the Academy's response to it. He stated in the letter that "Since nominations for acting come from the actors (a separate branch in the Academy), that would suggest that the lack of nominations comes from within that branch. he went on to say "And as far as I know, there never was a quota system to automatically nominate a certain percentage of people based on their ethnicity.
