Celebrity in this news:

Sir Ian McKellen wasn't shy when he shared his thoughts on the fact that there are only white nominees in the acting categories of the upcoming Oscars awards for the second year in a row. The actor told Sky News, "As a representative of the industry they?re in, it?s receiving complaints which I fully sympathize with. It?s not only black people who?ve been disregarded by the film industry, it used to be women, it?s certainly gay people to this day. And these are all legitimate complaints, and the Oscars are the focus of those complaints at the moment.? McKellen himself has been nominated twice for Academy Awards. The first time was for his portrayal of James Whale in 1999's Gods and Monsters. He was nominated again in 2002 for his depiction of the wizard Gandalf in Lord of the Rings.
