Oscar-nominated acting legend Charlotte Rampling ruffled some feathers on Friday when she declared that all of the controversy surrounding the extreme whiteness of this year?s Academy Awards was ?racist? towards white people. Rampling seemed quite sure of herself when she made that comment in a French radio interview, adding, ?One can never really know, but perhaps the black actors did not deserve to make the final list.? What she really meant, she said, was that ?in an ideal world every performance will be given equal opportunities for consideration.?
