Releasing a 9-minute single from their forthcoming record on Thursday night entitled ?White Privilege II?, a sequel to his track ?White Privilege? that was released in 2005, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis attacked rock musician Elvis Presley, pop star Miley Cyrus and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea for the deliberate cultural appropriation black people. Macklemore says the "song is the outcome of an ongoing dialogue with musicians, activists, and teachers within our community in Seattle and beyond." Azalea has responded to fans via Twitter saying that Macklemore "shouldn't have spent the last 3 [years] having friendly convos and taking pictures together at events, etc. if those were his feelings." The song has received mixed reviews in the hours if was released with writers New York Magazine's "Vulture" asking Macklemore, "How can you call yourself a black ally while occupying a white body and getting rich off black music??
