VIDEO : Robert Redford Discusses Diversity in Sundance Films

Sundance Film Festival founder Robert Redford is not concerned about the lack of diversity at the Oscars. As Sundance opened on Thursday, the Oscar winner said he's focused on the work and the reward it brings. Declining to address how mainstream Hollywood might replicate those demographics, Redford said that Sundance has always embraced diversity because of its independent nature. Redford added in his statements that diversity stems from independent film. This year, Sundance is running through January 31 with more than 123 films chosen from 12,700 submissions.
