Zac Efron took to Instagram on Tuesday to share an apology for one of his tweets that sparked a flurry of controversy this week. Efron's post said, "I have nothing but the greatest admiration and respect for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. I realize that last night's post was completely insensitive and I apologize to anyone who I may have offended. So sorry. Z." In honor of Martin Luther King Day yesterday, Efron wanted to pay his respects to the civil rights leader, but instead decided to combine a 140-character tribute with a personal milestone of his as well. Together the ill-timed tweet sent a bad message to many social media users. Along with a hunky photo of himself, Zac tweeted and later deleted, "I'm grateful for a couple things today: Martin Luther King Jr & 10 million followers on IG."
